Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) Assessment

Babies hips sometimes don’t develop properly and are less stable than they should be. If this issue is not picked up the child can have a limp and ongoing hip issues. So it is important that DDH is picked up early. If your baby has a clicky hip, stiff hip, asymmetrical skin folds on buttocks or one leg positioned differently to the other, DDH should be investigated. If you are concerned about your baby’s or child’s hips, Kids-Physio can assess and refer you for appropriate intervention.
